Recently, the “Energy Saving Lamp Quality Testing Report and the Reinforcing Industry Self-regulation Work Conference” was held in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province. At the meeting, Lu Yangang, deputy director of the Bureau of Consumer Protection of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, pointed out that the quality problems of energy-saving lamp products in the domestic market should attract the attention of enterprises and industries, and the enterprises should increase the supervision and inspection of energy-saving lamp product quality. It is hoped that the majority of manufacturers of energy-saving lamps will strengthen self-discipline and deliver more energy-saving lamp products to the market through various means such as technological improvement and enhanced management.

Yang Zheng, director of the National Electric Light Source Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, passed the inspection data in two spot checks and the analysis of unqualified samples to introduce the main reasons for product non-conformity and suggestions for improving product quality.

At the meeting, the delegates discussed the contents of the “standards”, especially the quality conditions promised to the society, and repeatedly revised them to reach a consensus and released them to the community.
